It's a shame books are so bloody expensive. This is gonna change once everybody can access a computer which has books in digital format so you can read them directly from the computer screen. Here you won't pay for the expensive paper & and ink needed to produce a book. The most expensive part will be the intellectual property. So much can be stored on DVD. I wonder how many trees can be saved this way.
Off course many still prefer reading from a real magazine or book. First because it's touchable, you can take it to most places, doesn't need an electric outlet and it's easier to read than a monitor screen.
But this will all change in 10 or 20 years when reading from a digital screen will become so much easier, cheaper and better.
