Everyone seems to always be a decade behind Apple. Microsoft and Intel will bring out their new "Easy-PC" design in the beginning of next year which will have a different shape and color as the standard PC, aimed at first time buyers.
There is actually nothing to say against Apple except for it's high prices. I dislike the imacs but the G3 and new powerbooks with 400MHZ are very cool, though not many can afford them. Is that good or bad?

Moller has developed a flying car prototype (skycar). It is able to drive just like a car with help of an electric engine, crusing at max. 50kmh an hour.
In the air though (lifting from the ground vertically) it can reach speeds more than 500kmh. Although it looks more like those mini topsecret planes 007 used to fly in the 70's, it is about as big as a range rover and can drive on normal roads.
At the moment it costs around $1mio but through economies of scale, they hope to massproduce this thing for $100k by 2015.

Psion will ship a coloured subnotebook running on the Epoc OS by this fall. It has a 200mhz strong-arm processor with 48mb ram and will be able to use the 350mb microdrive by ibm. The screen is 8.1" diagonal and the keyboard slightly samller than that of a notebook. This is probably a handheld in the same class as ibm z50 except it's using Epoc instead of WindowsCE.
Next week Psion will ship the 5mx which is the same as the series 5 except with twice the spees, ram, java support and frame support
