Sony will be selling music from their catalogs to stores digitally through highspeed networks. These specially (digital on demand) equipped stores will receive the data, burn it on cd and print the covers. The CD's will look and sound identical as the conventionally delivered onces.

The final version of Quicktime 4.0 is now available at apple. Unlike real, quicktime doesn't require special server extensions to stream media content over a network

So whaz up with IEEE-1394? How come it suddenly appears just like that. As far as I know, this is something like USB except faster? Sony has it on some of their new vaio notebooks and is intended for highspeed video/data transfers such as from your videocam. Sony calls it iLink. But fact is, Apple computers already had this ages ago.

It seems, ultra-cool portable mini notebooks are slowly creeping out of the Japan market into extrajapanese territory. IBM, which had several minnotebooks models circulating in Japan, are going to release a new highly portable Thinkpad model in the US next week
