ZipLip.com to launch on July 4th, will offer encrypted e-mail service. Unlike Hushmail, it is more user friendly and doesn't require you to subscribe. The e-mail message (with 128bit encryption) never leaves their servers, instead, a link to the message is sent to the recipient who can view the content by putting in a passphrase that is only known to the sender and the receiver. 24 hours after being read, the message is then shredded. The service is free and is used to promote the company's encryption programs similar like netscape offering their browser free, promoting their other business services.
